This Place Is So Empty! || Updated 03-03-15 ||

First topic message reminder :

So freaking empty. I think we all should start advertising on any games we play, so we can get more members. I don't think it's safe to have such a low active member count.... I'm going to start advertising this clan on the following games :
TF2 // Actively Advertising
CoD WaW (Tunngle) // Coming soon
CoD Black Ops 2 (Redacted client) // May be removed, Redacted is nearly dead
Combat Arms // About to start advertisng
Sauerbraten // Coming soon

And I might include more games.

That's why we need more people to get a PS4 so we can be more organized when it comes to advertising. I advertised FGN alone all the time on the 360 but that did not work. Literally, nobody joined and very few people replied to my messages. We need our whole community to get the PS4 and advertise as a whole, not spread thin on different games and different consoles.

I'd actually think it would be a better idea to do advertising on PC, because most of us have computers, and we all have some games we can play. I already have a ton that I can advertise on, but nobody wants to join. Dark is correct, this site doesn't have anything that people want. Not trying to be harsh, but it's the truth.

We don't offer news or anything, the closest to "news" about gaming that has been posted recently is either about the new Battlefront game, or my post about the new PPSSPP version... We need reviews, we need constant updates on news, not just PS4, but on PC, Xbox, Wii, everything that can help us.

We need quality reviews, not utter trash.

Oh, and when I asked one of my friends on Steam to join this clan, I couldn't think of any good reason, because we don't offer enough to get people in.

The only reason the clan grew at first, was because we offered codes for ES, we advertised our names loud and proud while using the codes we both made and shared.

We don't have the codes anymore, nobody plays ES. I came here from seeing Dan using his codes on a random server, and I went to join.muf.mobi and registered, because I knew there would be codes to share and contribute.

Let me ask you all something.... If someone were to join, what would we offer them? A nice forum that gets off topic? We don't have news, or anything helpful like that, which is something we must have.

I hate to admit it, but this place is dying. I'm doing what I can to help save this place, but it just isn't enough, we all need to work together on advertising, writing reviews.

And we need to support EVERY platform, and have news about every one that we support. That way, we can draw people in. We need more forums about PC gaming, Xbox, Wii, just topics in general. We need people to be more active. I have a very busy life, but I dedicate a certain amount of time to this site because it means something to me, and I'm not going to just watch and let it die.

Bottom line, we need to make some changes now, or we're going to fade away.

You're right about the fact that we don't offer people anything. The reason why I joined [HACK] was so I could get a OHK gamesave. We need to find a way to attract people here.

The only issue with trying to support many different platforms is most people here can't afford to buy every console and build a PC good enough to run games today. Let alone buying the many different exclusive games to each of the consoles and PC. Plus we would be spread out too thin and if one part of us dies while the other parts thrive, then we only have half the community with us.

The truth is harsh, evil, it sucks. 

But its true that we don't offer anything. We used to offer saves, we can't do that anymore. That world.....its gone. 

We need to offer a type of community atmosphere that people will want to be in and be a part of.

I'm not sure exactly how we brand ourselves as that, but we need to do it. 
I know a PC clan a friend uses which gives away free games as an incentive. I'm not sure thats the best idea, but it would get us instant popularity which gives us access to legit members who are interested in the site. I believe there are legit ways of getting games to give away for free at no/little expense (giving away pirated games simply wouldn't impress anyone).

Fact is we can do all the talking and site updates in the world, and thats what we've done for a year and got nowhere.

The whole 'you need a ps4' argument is kinda not working either. 

I'm a massive sony fan as you guys know. Even though i don't have a ps4, i know that PS4 games are just not really being played atm. You have some stuff like Destiny, COD being played, sure. But PS4 still needs its definitive game before its playerbase gets massive and gets online.

Everyone says they advertise, and fair enough, you guys do advertise, so do i. But there's a difference between advertising and recruiting. 

Nobody joins when we advertise because we don't spend time getting to know people, chatting to them, making friends on other forums, then introducing a few of them to this place. 


Solution to inactivity:
-1.) Get some members who are already here to regularly post Gaming and Film news to provide an interesting content base for this site

2.) Get other members on other forums for games they play, chatting, making friends, playing with people and helping people. 

3.) Once you know them rather well, try and introduce them to this site.

Nobody joins, i'll ask why, but the reason must be the site's lack of interesting content, not a lack of features or anything.

We can also take Hack Society (yeah, im a part of several hacking communities,.. not games though) approach. They offer accsss to free premium accs to lots of stuff to members with a minimal post count.

Not a bad approach.

Carefully choosing the level of access premium accounts have would be wise though.

I think VIP forums for each game with expert tips maybe?

We need a clear incentive to keep people coming back and back.

Yeah, VIPs would get the accs info. Sounds good. Now for accs.... What do people like? Steam? Netflix? Origin?

We also need to find our purpose now. Ever since ES died, this clan has had an issue with what it wants to be, what it is for.

We need to find a purpose and stick to it. We had one when we were all still for ES, we sure as hell don't have it now.

Ill probably record more PC videos now that I have a decent laptop.

yeah OBS is pretty good, but theres a large selection of programs like fraps which is good too
you can do almost anything on a good pc :D

I prefer Bandicam over Fraps, for it lags less. Well, ofc on my new laptop, I don't really have to care lol.
