jokes aside, don't take that sh*t to a shop Dan, we can be your tech support team. Could you take pictures of the laptop when you turn it on? Me and Gnmmarechal could help. You probably broke the hard drive - which sucks but can easily be replaced with at least 40 dollars to spare.

| If the HDD only came loose, it's an easy fix. If it broke, it's still not hard. HDDs are pretty cheap nowadays, and replacing one is quite easy. | |

| Highly doubt it became loose, hard drive caddys exist for a reason...
Dan, does it make clicking noises when you turn your computer on?

| Your hard drive is likely dead. You can buy a new one off of Amazon for cheap. You want our help or would you rather take it to the shop? Replacing the drive yourself would save a ton of money and it's pretty cheap too. | |

| Ah....well...data retrieval is a problem. If you had it backed up or didn't care, its mega easy to buy a new hard drive, connect the wires, fit in the cradle, screw in and then boot up and reinstall windows. Pretty straightforward process. | |

You can replace it for cheap pretty easily. I'd personally replace the HDD and then take that broken, damaged HDD to a data retrieval shop, if it had important stuff.

| If the hard drive IS dead then any type of data recovery will be very expensive. If the drive was just corrupted and couldn't boot then it would be a different story.
If you hear the drive "clicking" when you turn it on it most likely means that there was a head crash and that the head can no longer read from the drive platter. A specialized person can recover any data that survived the drop, but it wont be cheap.

| If you're looking for a new laptop, try this one out. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DT4A2R4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I just got this one and it's amazing. I think it can play Battlefront too.

| Ya, probably can. My laptop's a Toshiba Qosmio X70-B-10T with 16GB DDR3, 1TB+8GB SSHD, Intel Core i7-4720HQ and AMD R9 M265X 4GB, and it runs it nicely despite being a not-so-recent card. I can't stand gaming on a 15.6 inch laptop anymore though. Well, that was true until I had to send my 17.3' laptop to get fixed and spent a month playing CS: GO on a 12' Surface Pro 4, but still, it doesn't feel nearly as good. | |

EBay's very buyer-biased. You can easily get a refund. PayPal is too.

Ya, I don't trust Ebay either. I had something like that happen before as well. Yeah, i'm pretty salty about that and its caused a huge argument in my family. I'm gonna delete my account and never go near it ever again. Amazon is the way forward. Proper legitimate sellers on there. You can never trust Ebay. Not a decent person in sight. Just all crooks from my multiple bad experiences. Amazon FTW.
