No, they do not. I love Nintendo for they are more than a glorified PC. They actually try to offer something unique, and I like how for them, specs are second to uniqueness.

I will definitely get a Switch if I have the money.

Gonna be honest, they tried to break into AAA gaming with the Wii U. Look how that turned out. Even my friend whose a die hard Nintendo fan wanted them to ditch consoles and just make games/license for Playstation.

He's happy with what they chose though. Nintendo is better off making a cheap, alternate, different console. Something to complement and go alongside the PS4. (Not even talking about the crapbox). It has to be cheaper than the PS4 so people who already own a PS4 are tempted to buy it alongside their main console, though powerful and unique enough to tempt developers and consumers to be interested. Tough balance, but they nailed it with Wii.

I know, right? Nintendo doesn't usually do well when doing that. Nintendo is known for its games and its consoles being different. I don't want them to go after the PS/XB market, that is just not how Nintendo works and not what a lot of Nintendo fans want.

Nintendo has two options:

1- License/develop their games for the PS4/Xb/PC crowd.
2- Make a console that is cheaper, inventive, unique and different.

They picked option 2

Wii U was their attempt to compete. It failed. Of course it did. The PS4 is simply the best console since the PS2. It plays games and is very good at it. It gives developers the complete options of how to develop their games, they can focus on anything they like. Its a very easy platform to develop for and has architecture similar to PC development. Its easy to use and customisable in nearly every way. Its UI is fast and responsive. The only thing that needs to change in future is more power. Plain and simple. PS5 needs to launch with maybe 10 Teraflops. Launch that at $500 and you'll be competing with PC crowd for price vs. specs and you'll blow everything out the water. I seriously think they're gonna do that. Definitely after Scorpio, Sony will want to hit back hard. They have a pretty good monopoly on the living room and rightfully so. They produce great TVs and Home Cinema systems popular with both cinephiles and audiophiles alike. No reason why they shouldn't own console as well.

I just discovered I might be able to get the Switch at launch. :D

I highly doubt it. If you like AAA games like Battlefront, PS4 is for you. If you like Nintendo games/want to play those as well, Switch is for you.

I'll still keep my fingers crossed, I have hope because last mobile Battlefront game Elite Squadron released for DS too.

I don't expect super graphics or huge maps from a mobile device, anything close to 5 year old Vita capability would be acceptable.

ES for the DS sucked.

I highly doubt we'll get Battlefront on the switch, but I'll get it regardless of that. Especially if Battlefront 2 becomes yet another Battlefront 1.

Lol omw ES on DS was the main reason I never got it on PSP for so long and stuck with renegade then I got it and was blown away at how much better it was

I got ES on DS. It didn't take long before I got extremely bored of it and bought the PSP version instead. It's really bad.

Lol I got the DS first and like a year later the PSP cuz I saw how good BFII looked and was blown away so begged and begged for one for Christmas lol

I played ES on the DS.... It was so..... bad in comparison. Lmao. My thoughts were literally "How do they dare have the same name for such different games???"
