Resistance Retribution Online Being Shut Down In 13 Days

Sony is going to pull the plug on the online mutliplayer of Resistance Retribution for the PSP, so if you want one last match, just one last game, I'd suggest you do it soon. Lights are going out on May 15th, and I'm afraid this is the last mainstream game to be shutdown.

SOCOM 2 - DEAD
SOCOM 3 - DEAD
RR - 13 Days Left

It's kinda hard to come with terms with the fact that the PSP is dead now... Really sad, I used to play my PSP so much when I was much younger... Hopefully Pro Online will support RS like it does ES.

I loved Patapon so much.... I mostly played Patapon 2. I also played the Patapo 3 Online demo, then got the japanese singleplayer demo, then the full game...
Damn, I also liked Resistance, it came with my PSP, together with Chains of Olympus.
Loved Socom 3 too.

I updated my PSP 3000 to 6.61 just to play RR online again.... There were only 7 people online... It used to be in the 200's... Really fuckin sad. I don't even know if I want to play it anymore, since it's so damn depressing.

I still am at 6.60. No reason for me to upgrade, honestly. I have all the plugins I want.

6.61 has all the support for PSN, since 6.60 and below are incapable of going on PSN. Plus most if not all plugins work on 6.61.

Even though, I'm probably just going to downgrade my PSP to 5.xx M33, since those were the best CFW's ever.

My Vita can play RR online, since the ePSP inside it has been updated to work properly with PSN and what not. :P So yeah.

What a shame that PSP is dead. That little handheld is what got me into this community. Now it's just a memory.

My PSP battery died for ever just the other day. Now I have to "plug and play" with the AC adapter. I'm pretty sad because I won't be ordering a new battery.

Same thing happened to my spare battery. It can still hold a charge, but it's bulging like crazy.

I don't plan on buying new batteries either.. Why should I when I can play all of my PSP games on my Vita?

Yeah I just use my phone emulator for psp games

I prefer actual controls, so I use my Logitech F710 with PPSSPP or I use my PSP.

Why use PPSSPP when you have a working Vita?

Official emulators ALWAYS yield the best compatibility, and performance.
Ever heard of a PSP game that doesn't run on ARK or TN-V? Neither have I.

You know what else is awesome? I can take my Vita on the bus to school, and play my PSP ISO's on it... WITH PHYSICAL controls. On screen controls are fṲcking disgusting. And they are not fun to use.

You can also play the Vita online when playing PSP games. (If the game still supports it), even on PSN!

Not to mention the FAR superior interface that TN-V will offer over PPSSPP... TN-V literally has the PSP XMB built in, so it's literally a fully emulated PSP with CFW... Plugins, all of that goodness. And ARK 2 has a billion different menus to offer, incase you want more customization over the XMB that TN-V has.

The only actual advantage that PPSSPP has over vPSP is Pro Online/Hamachi, which will be changing soon. (According to Acid_Snake and Total_Noob) So, soon enough, PPSSPP will be just for those without a Vita or PSP.

Well, that is correct, but I often am too bored to go grab my PSP, so I play on my laptop. Also, I want to keep my PSV updated.

Do you even play Vita games on it? I stopped playing Vita games months ago, and now I just play PSP games.

I do, I play Gravity Rush, Killzone Mercenary, Wipeout 2048, and more games.

Got bored with WipeOut 2048, beat the game. Multiplayer is basically dead. (It's still online, but nobody plays it)

Don't have the money for Killzone.
Stopped playing CoD on Vita because I fully ranked up and can't reset it. Switching accounts on a Vita is too much of a pain in the ass.

ik, but ppl still play Wipeout HD/Fury, that is cross-play with the PSV DLC.

Sadly. :/ Hopefully Pro Online will fully support them soon, as the Pro Online on the PSP does not seem to work in any way with SWES. (Haven't tested SWRS, but they are similar in design, so it probably wont work either)
