A Weapon That Is Designed To Physically Destroy Computer Networks

I have designed a new type of weapon, not to be used on humans, but machines. This weapon exploits the relatively insecure nature of Ethernet based computer networks.

Here is how it works :
Take the power from a wall socket and redirect it into an Ethernet cord that is connected to a modified router OR directly wired into your Ethernet socket that leads to your IP. The great part about this attack is the fact that inbetween you and your ISP, there are computers connected to the same land line... MANY computers. Directing a large amount of electricity through an ethernet cable and into the landline that leads to your ISP would deal unimaginable damage to the computers and routers that are connected to the same line.

Here is a basic blue print of the weapon I came up with, as I do not plan on building one because of the trouble I would get in if I OR anyone else uses it.

Yeah, if I actually did this, I would cause millions of dollars worth of damage. I don't feel like paying that bill. xD

Not too convinced how this would work in UK, especially with fibre cables which are made of glass, not coaxial cable. Besides, in UK our phone lines have voltage limiters in place.

Apart from the fact its mostly made of glass (with added ingredients of course)
