| So.... Let's go back a few years, and I first try PPSSPP on my ancient Android phone. It ran like total dog sh*t. I mean, TERRIBLE. I couldn't even run the launch titles at full speed, which is sad.
Times have changed though.
My Android tablet sports the following specs : Intel Atom Quad Core @ 1.8GHz 1GB of RAM Intel Bay Trail GPU LCD Display @ 1280x800 5100Mhr battery
So... does my tablet run ES good? Well, if you haven't seen my video showing that you can use Pro Online on my tablet, then yes. It runs very well! How well you ask? Maxed out settings. Yes, you've heard me, I maxed out every setting including Anti Aliasing, which slows ANYTHING down a lot... And yet I can still play my PSP games at full speed and at a much higher resolution than the real console.
For the first time ever, I'm considering to just use the emulator to play games, and not as a novelty. PPSSPP is so freaking close to being better than the real PSP, it's scary.
Would I suggest trying this on your tablet/POWERFUL smartphone? If you can deal with sketchy onscreen controls, then go for it! The polygons are so crisp, the menus, the textures, they all look leagues better than a real PSP. And the best part about this is that it just works. The game runs perfectly fine!
And if anybody needs anymore convincing to actually try this, then just remember : Every PSP game ever made > Any IOS/Android game. :P

| Oh, and by the way, you can use Bluetooth controllers on PPSSPP, including PS3 controllers. No Xbox controller support though. | |

Isn't OTG a cable that converts your phones/tablets microUSB to a female USB?

| USB Host feature (people call it USB OTG), is a feature in some devices that allows one to connect devices using a female USB to male MicroUSB adaptor. It only works with devices that support USB host. | |

How do you know if your device is supported?

| google it. All devices on the Galaxy S line support it (except for Galaxy S Minis). Most Galaxy tablets support it, many Xperias do, etc. Usually, low end devices don't. | |

| The hardware must have support for USB Host mode (for example so it can power the usb devices). Most otg enabled devices support it out of the box in the software, but some must use apps such as StickMount. In both cases, the hardware must support host. | |

Is there a App for testing to see if the software is installed on the phone?

| It's not just that. To test OTG support you need an OTG adapter.Try either googling your device's name and OTG and see if it's part of the announced features or if it works. | |

| It currently isn't worth making, nowadays they're much easier to find, and much cheaper too. | |
