Rules for locking and moving to graveyard

Do not lock a topic for inactivity or to prevent bumping old topics unless it has NOT been posted on for 2 weeks.

Do not move a forum to the graveyard unless it has been locked after the 2 week inactivity and deemed not necessary to the category it is in example if there is a topic news like saying someone is quiting that is a important topic and never will go in the graveyard. on the other hand a topic in news saying i got a xbox can be moved to the graveyard after 2 weeks

it applies to all topics, if no one has posted on them in 2 weeks do what must be done

So now, basically, 3/4 of the topics are being locked and moved...?

no only if they have gone 2 weeks with no activity they will be locked, and only the really useless topics should be moved

Locking is to prevent spam and fighting. Not if it's inactive for two weeks.

This rule is the bullshit and it's why the site is a complete disaster and the is the way it is.


Constant spam and flaming. More arguing on this site than anything useful. This site is about post count. Not even about star wars for fucks sake. It's about who can get into the top posters or about drama bullshit.

locking is to prevent people from posting on old topics, if someone is spamming warn them and/or delete their post

Exactly. Locking should only prevent spam and fighting. Locking cause of inactivity is just a waste of time and kills the activity rate on this site.

i agree with red. Locking all topics is not good.

All you have to do to prevent noobs from posting in old topics is simply adding that rule into the rule list. You don't have to go all out in locking topics. The only noob that has done this before is Drake but that was a long time ago. Add this rule to the list of rules and then add the punishment for breaking this rule after you told them 3 times to stop. Its that simple, you don't have to waste your time doing something like that.

Which is spamming. So I stopped it. Haha, that's the only reason I locked it to actually do something for this site in the right direction.

I was getting rid of already solved/off topic spammed threads. The thing that forum site Moderators should do. It's not like I was locking active topics that everyone was posting useful information in, or important topics that everyone needed to read.

Thing is sure have the two weeks but if there is spamming and/or fighting lock it down right away
