Laptop crashed

Well my replacment laptop has had problem after problem for weeks and the hard drive finally crashed yesterday so I'm once again laptopless. I called the ebay buyer I bought it from and I'm getting a free exchange for another laptop tho so i'll be a week or so without a laptop again..

I would've just gotten a refund and bought from someone else. There are many tell tale signs of a dying hard drive, and the seller is either stupid, or knew about it, and sold it to you anyway. Steer clear of him.

I wouldn't buy second hand. You can get decent laptops pretty cheap these days.

You'd have to look around and be less picky about what you buy.

I just bought a new desktop computer last night, a Dell Optiplex 755 refurb for only 100 dollars. I'm going to turn it into a gaming rig, since I'm about to buy a GPU for it.

Eh, we have this Catalogue store (No items on display, you write down the code number for what you want in a catalogue, take it to the desk, pay, and they hand over the goods; idea is the goods are cheap and pristine condition because nobody else has touched them), and I see a ton of decent Acer, Samsung laptops in there for only a few £££. I'm talking about i5s, 8GB RAM, latest software, etc. Mega cheap these days. I paid £500 ($700) for this i5 4GB Sony VAIO in 2011. Never regretted it - serves me well, but ik laptops are a lot cheaper these days, thats the point i'm making.

Not cheaper than desktop computers though. I've heard of people buying the same rig I am and running BF4 at ultra settings and getting 60+ FPS. That's fucking insane, considering that I'm only going to end up paying 200 for a system that literally outperforms consoles.

Used laptops are very expensive and are often not worth the cash. Desktops on the other hand, like the older Dell computers are a dime a dozen, they are super cheap and perform really well.

Mine comes with a Core 2 Duo, and while they are older, they are not slouches in any regard, they are still very useful today, and desktop ones are even better.

true. however, when I get a desktop, I'll get a motherboard that supports an i3/i5/i7.

I'm just going cheap right now because I don't have all the money in the world to spend on stuff like this... Sadly, lol. But when I do, I will buy a motherboard that supports the newer CPU's, probably the new Skylake CPU's by the time I actually buy a new one.

This is bad, nothing is being done with our future sites and I can't help even if I had the time cuz my laptops in the mail being exchanged. Activity is at its lowest and especially with me out of the picture since August 17th.. I'm moving in to my new apartment in a day or so but I won't have my own Internet until the 5th.. hopefully my life will be stable enough and I'll have a laptop soon.. but the damage is probably already done. Well worst comes to worst, this clan started with me and gosh darnit I'll rebuild it on my own if it comes to it.

Activity has REALLY taken a plunge. Me and Mario aren't even posting as much.. Literally less than 10 posts today. LESS THAN 10. We really need to step it up. I will try to post more and hopefully Mario and some other will come on more.

That's not the problem, we NEED new members. We haven't had ANY since SWES went down. Only friendship and loyalty has brought us this far, I wanted to have battlefrontdice.com ready for the battlefront beta but we can still say we are an old battlefront clan and we are making a new site but it's not ready yet so battlefrontdice.com redirects to our old site atm.

Yeah, we need activity badly.

Try posting new topics, if you don't think anybody will reply, too bad. Try anyway. I will reply to all new stuff the best I can. I might post some other sh*t too, soon.

probably, but I mostly play CSGO atm, and I doubt posting about the updates will be useful to anyone here. Plus, not much new from the 3DS modding and hacking...soo...

Battlefront will be out soon. Hopefully you guys can advertise our whereabouts. I think I might wear the clan tag in every game I play, maybe bring people in. I don't know anymore.
