TOO = Trials Of Osiris
Main points:

-TOO runs from Friday until weekly reset on Tuesday.
-Players will have to buy a passage of osiris (essentially a scorecard) and form their own fireteam of 3 players themselves. The cost of the passage is unknown. Each scorecard has slots on for 9 wins. The more wins on a single scorecard, the more stuff you can buy from Brother Vance - the TOO vendor inside the reef social space. His inventory rotates every week. You can buy a primary weapon for 500 glimmer and 9 wins on a passage along with armor, etc. This is good as it removes the RNG element from the game. 
-Level Advantages Enabled: Levels matter in TOO and your weapon stats too. Go in with your best gear and your best team.
-The highest scoring player on the winning team receives a guaranteed piece of TOO loot. If I remember rightly, this loot is slightly different to the loot you can buy.
-The first gamemode is elimination where two teams of 3 players each must wipe out the other team. There are no respawns - you can only be revived to be brought back to life. Each match consists of 5 rounds - first team to wipe out the other 5 times, wins. This counts as a win on the scorecard. 3 losses (in a row? - TBC) will result in you needing to buy another passage. Each round has 2 mins, 30 secs on the timer. If neither team can wipe out the other, a zone spawns in the centre of the map and the first team to capture this within 30 secs wins. Failing to capture this, the winner is decided on a 'closest to the pin basis' where the winning team is based upon how close its players are to the capture point.
