My Thoughts.

Pros:
-Large battles, good attention to detail
-Millennium falcon?

Cons:
-No Space
-bad animation (sorry, but i just don't like some of the rebel's animations)
-Already talking about DLC (EA is a notorious publisher for this)
-No Campaign (I was looking forward to this)
-Only 4 planets (REALLY?? REALLY??? CUT ME A BREAK. GIMME MORE)
-Very empty game as far as things go.

Fact is, GOTY just fizzled out the window as it could have been contender and they've taken a crap approach. Dice is a talented developer.

They could have made a massive game with an excellent story (canon or non-canon) featuring original characters + new ones and a thrilling campaign with amazing missions and varied level design topped off by great single player features. On top of that, they could have had a few co-op missions (FC3 style?) and excellent online multiplayer featuring a variety of planets and maps from different eras and all kinds of different SW lore (maybe even some SWKOTR stuff in there). They could have had massive space battles in one online mode, massive ground combat in another and a tactical online mode using tactical features available from cannons on star destroyers, etc.

^Sound good? Tough. Not happening. I'm disappointing, really. They could have pulled this off into a great game, but its just not happening. I'll buy, i'll milk the online as much as i can, but i demand better from this in future and either another developer (Rocksteady, hint hint) needs to pick it up or SWBF is gonna remain in gaming oblivion for a few more years.

I'm sorry, ik we were all hyped, even i was hyped. But, the game reveal's a let-down. 

Just how it is i'm afraid.

I just wished DICE put in more effort. They are always talking about attention to detail in the Dev Diaries, but they should focus more on playability. Not everyone likes multiplayer and that will end up being the downfall of this game.

Lately I've been consuming a lot of Star Wars material (books, games, etc) and I think all in all DICE will do just fine. They will deliver a game just worthy enough to hold the title "Battlefront". Sure people won't like the missing content, but is there a game out there where everyone is truly happy with?

I can tolerate no campaign or some of those other changes, but if it doesn't have Instant Action, it's not Battlefront.

No. But there are games people are mostly happy with and Dice's 'Project' (All its worth calling it) completely misses the staple trademarks of the series and kinda screws up completely. It just misses the point entirely.

I think I might regret buying it.

I'm waiting. Won't pay full price unless E3 convinces me otherwise.

To be fair this is DICE's first Star Wars game but they are completely over thinking it. Like I might over think buying it

As in putting too much attention to detail. Sure they scanned ever Star Wars item in the "Vault" but scanning doesn't make game modes or story. It just makes it better looking.

Gameplay + Features > Graphics always.

Attention to detail is a good thing - one of the few good things this game has going for it and i won't knock them down for that, but they need the basics in play first.

Dude, don't reconsider getting a console over me, lmao. PS4 is wayy more than battlefront. Check out some of the other games on there if you like + there will be more better SW games in this generation for sure. Reason: Film companies love to have decent or better video games releasing alongside their films. Example: Mad max videogame delayed to coinside with Film release in a few weeks. 

Disney have loads of $$$$$$$$$$ and a massive phone book. If SWBF doesn't pan out, they can just revoke dice's license and offer it to another studio and i believe Disney will be intent on cashing in with the games, so i wouldn't lose hope for SW games..just this one.

Either way, it needs a good E3 reveal OR a 12 month delay to create a glimmer of hope.

Oh well someone made a tutorial to run it on PC, no emulators to play. It's just a port with multiplayer server brought to use by some kind people over at Steam.
