I would say gta 5 as I got it this year but were only counting games that came out this year, so Far Cry 4 is my pick as favorite game of 2014.

I also like Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth. I'm waiting for Persona 5 though.

umm, idk really. I'm gonna say destiny.

It has really solid shooter mechanics, classes, abilities, loot system, graphics and visuals, environments, soundtrack. All it needs is solid mission design and story and we have a masterpiece.

The Japanese version was released this year but the 2015 version is in English and apparently will have Multiplayer. Maybe more content as well. I already know it's gonna be better than ~~Battlefield~~ Battlefront.

Yep, it will. I have a friend who is MGS crazy (even more than you as he's bought every MGS on every console).

e.g he bought MGS 3 on PS2, PS3, PSvita, 3DS and 100% it on all 3 formats, thats how crazy he is.

and he tells me that everyone thinks it will be June.

what MGS? I think Portable Ops was decent but controls sucked cuz they were similar to the PS2 and PS3 - problem is, on the PSP u only got 1 analog stick... PW had better controls for the PSP. But my favourite is MGS 3 for the PS2. i also have the HD edition on PSV.

Also game of the year, hands down from me is Middle earth: Shadow of Mordor, one of the best pc games out there and probably the best lord of the rings game or derivative out there, you really learn to love the excelent and very well polished game mechanics and the satisfaction whe you kill or "use" orcs. Its all been polished to make an excellent game 10/10.
