Nokia is a company, like Apple, Sony, Samsung/were a company, not sure if they still are.

They were the pioneers of the mobile industry 20 years ago.

Whilst they didn't really invent anything themselves, they produced reasonably priced, good quality mobile phones for everyone to use and they pioneered the smartphone, with app based systems coming out earlier than 2004 (ik this because my mum used to have a nokia phone which could run apps, games, internet, etc all the way back from 2004 - still works now!)

I think the company got bought by microsoft since then, but idk for sure.

They're a very influential company really, like Sony and Apple, big players in the tech market.

Probably is because I've NEVER heard of Nokia until you guys mentioned it. And nobody I know knows about Nokia either.

I think apple are now, but nokia definitely were and i'm sure pretty much everybody knows about nokia who knows about apple.

Not talking about lumias, but all the same, i believe anyone who knows of apple would know of the indestructible phones they made.
