While testing a mod map for SWBF2 some random sounds would start playing. It continues playing even after I stop playing, and close all tabs in all my Internet Browsers. The kind of sound I'm experiencing is some type of advertisement junk along with "Blah Blah Blah drinks his first cup of coffee".

I had that on one of my laptops a few months ago. I got it right after I visited a tumblr page.

I ran multiple scans and nothing got rid of it. I spent hours into trying to fix it but after 2-3 hours I gave up and reformatted.

However, for the time being. Since the advertisements is strictly advertisements and doesn't use that many resources. Just right click on your sound mixer(assuming windows 7 or 8) it should be named "Name not available" and just click mute.

also u can pull up the task manager and close processes till you find the right one, and btw google essential processes for windows 7/8/vista ect..

so u dont close down a process like explorer.exe xD

I once closed a process called Script-FU and it messed up GIMP. xD

In that case, wish I thought of this earlier.

That will close all processes not needed for gaming of course. But it should get rid of that. You can view the logs of what it closed and by process of elimination you can figure out what one it is.
