Nintendo DS and stuff

Hey everyone! My mom brought me a Nintendo DS that she got from people who didn't want it anymore.

The thing is I have no games for it + the connection of the upper screen is kinda broken, I mean the thing that keeps the 2 together lol

So it's the oldest version of the DS and the question that I would like to ask is, should I be bothered to buy a Nintendo DS R4 Flashcard? That makes it possible to play games for free.

The card itself costs 20 euro (where I could buy it) but I still have my PS Vita and I barely play on it atm because of the exams and stuff.. Anyway what would you do?

If it is the old DS, you should be able to play GB games on it. I believe you should by Gameboy games. They are awesome. i mean.... so.... original.... Im starting to feel nostalgic...

I already replayed every gba game that I have here on my phone before I had that DS :p I know they are still awesome but I would like to play the Pokemon games for example or Zelda, ...
